Biblical Epistemology

Through the simple scheme of man, he is so close to understanding God, he is blinded by his own intellect and willingness to share and give back to God, what God has given him. Thus the developed enigma is rooted in the reality that all such concepts as ontology, epistemology, axiology, cosmology, metaphysics, philosophy, rhetoric, mathematics, and linguistics, were pre-existent to man.

Today, humanity has an understanding of the things that already existed in the mind of God, but because of the belief that they were developed by men, they refuse to acknowledge and partner with God in the discovery. People now know what they know, but fail to give credence to the All-Knowing God of Heaven. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7). The world knows God, but acts like it does not. In terms of schema, it is about using what is known, to know more!

The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; 2To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; 3To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; 4To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. 5A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: 6To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. 7The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:1-7).

In the mere beginning verses of Proverbs, Solomon pontificates the Word of God, and unlike Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato, in their Western speculative philosophy, he ignites the reality that true knowledge begins and ends with God. In essence, the philosophical discussion and study of knowledge (Epistemology) and existence (Ontology), are divine biblical concepts that relate to God and the human relationship with God. Give Him the credit and remember, you are the clay In The Potter’s Hands. God has paved a way to save you today!
